We will definitely be returning to this very private and romantic holiday home. Nestled right in the rain forest, the diversity of animals and plant life was amazing! In the evenings you could watch the rain forest come to life while lying in the hammock on the deck. We also saw the elusive Cassowary while having dinner out on the deck! I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a romantic getaway in the Daintree. It is very secluded but also close enough to all the activities/tours that the Daintree provides. I look forward to coming back to Riverside in the near future.

My partner and I stayed at Riverside for 5 nights in July. Having never been to the Daintree before I didn't really know what to expect - I could have easily stayed longer. The Riverside property exceeded my expectations. Upon arriving at the house we were greeted by two Cassowary (which we saw a couple of times during our stay). We wandered over to the Creek on the property and, just as the photos illustrate, could see a family of turtles and many fish swimming in the crystal clear waters. If getting in touch with nature and serenity is what you are seeking then Riverside is the perfect place. The dwelling is a lovely pole house, rustic, simple and elegant. Very comfortable bed and large living space. Also, if you are into yoga, the yoga retreat down the road offers yoga sessions a short stroll from the property every evening. A wonderful, memorable holiday - thank you Ron and Christine.

My husband and I stayed at Riverside for a couple of nights over Xmas as a little treat whilst visiting Australia and what a special treat it was! The pictures on the web site just don't do it justice - it's magical. I felt a sense of calm and peace and a special connection with the nature in and around the property. The house is so comfortable and is a lot bigger than we envisaged. Nearby Cow Bay is just a delight with a couple of lovely cafes and a friendly pub. The local service station has a few groceries which helped us on our way with good coffee! Fully recommend for a tranquil stay.

We have recently returned from a trip to the Daintree Rainforest in FNQ and were lucky enough to stumble on the amazing Riverside with its all encompassing nature, comforts, vista and beauty. How lucky were we! We found the 20 acre property the perfect home for appreciating and enjoying the natural beauty of the Daintree Rainforest with majestic views of Thornton Peak - quite breathtaking. It was an opportunity to get back to nature and enjoy its peaceful serenity and spirituality of the area. We looked forward to feeding the turtles in the creek our left over breakfast each morning and chatting to Keko the resident Butcher Bird who the owners say is a natural resider of the trees by the creek and the gorgeous wooden veranda in the afternoons. Not only was the property a delight but so too was the area with daily Croc Cruises (we saw 4!), nature trails secretly hidden along the road to Cape Trib and the gorgeous beaches. Planning to return!
